My first night in London I took a long walk beside the river.

When I caught a glimpse of Big Ben in the distance, it finally struck me that I was in London.

A lot of bad news went down in the Tower of London, back in the day.

Today people sun and play on the grounds, but in the Tower's heyday, people needed lots of ports for shooting arrows at their enemies—who must have been numerous.

On a nice afternoon, everybody, local and tourist, finds themselves at Trafalgar Square. I couldn't see any particular reason, but whenever I passed by, it always seemed like a big party.

This building has several different signs and banners hanging on it. I never did figure out which one was correct.

St. Pauls Cathedral looks great, but it costs too much to go inside.

Call me old fashioned, but I think churches should be free to enter. If they feel right, you'll give them some money.

The city charges admission to climb The Monument, too, but instead of merely standing around, gawking at the inside, you get to experience the early symptoms of a heart attack.
