After the Tradeshow Opened

By Thursday afternoon, the show was winding down. Somehow I had ended up on the tear-down crew after all. We arrived a little early so we'd have time to look around.

Show attendees were actually sitting in the theater section of our booth, listening to one of our programmers talk about Java.

Behind the theater, in the center of the booth, the volunteers received genuine company-logo Swiss army knives, to thank them for putting up with the attendees all day.

The crowd was still foraging for free t-shirts.

Some exhibitors were starting to tear down their displays already.

But some of the salespeople wouldn't quit until Show Management finally shut off the lights...

The lights went down at 3:15pm. Our crew began shutting down computers, pulling out cords, taking apart all the work we had done five days prior. In 3 hours, there would be nothing left here but empty booths and full shipping cases.
